5 Days Bwindi NP and Queen Elizabeth National Park

Overview

This safari begins in Kampala and takes you to the Bwindi impenetrable National Park where you will get an opportunity to trek mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. We will also visit the Batwa pygmy community for a culture experience before transferring to Queen Elizabeth National Park the most popular game Park in Uganda for a game viewing adventure where you will see some of Africa’s Big 5 animals. The lunch Cruise on the kazinga channel refreshing.

Day 1 (16th July): Arrival and welcome too Uganda.

Arrival at our breath taking Entebbe international airport in the afternoon and our guide is there waiting for you. Transfer to your Lodge in Entebbe city close to the airport, Lodge check in, and evening visit to mabamba for Shoebill exploration. Return for

Day 2(17th Jul): Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable National Park

Very early morning you will be picked by your Safari driver-guide who will brief you about the Safari and then begin the lengthy drive to the park. The Bwindi is known to offer the best gorilla trekking Safari experience in the world as it is home to the largest population of mountain gorillas across the globe. In addition it prides of a rich diversity flora plus other wildlife including different monkey species, Forest elephants and more than 345 birds. Have an en-route lunch and arrive in the park late evening.

Day 2 (18th July): Bwindi impenetrable national Park – Goriilla tracking.

After an early morning, transfer to the headquarters where you will be met by the Park ranger for a briefing before heading out in the forest by 8 a.m. to search for the habituated gorilla family during which you will encounter various butterfly, tree, insect and bird species in addition to some types of monkeys. Once you find the gorilla family you will spend a maximum of one hour observing then play, feed and take care of one another. You will also get a chance to take photographs of these forest giants who share so much of their DNA with man; this is a very memorable moment.

Have a lunch break and later in the afternoon enjoy a cultural visit to the batwa pygmies living nearby who will entertain you with vibrant performances of dances and songs as well as drama. Later return to your accommodation for dinner and the overnight rest.

Day 3 (19th July): Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national Park

Have a final breakfast in the morning at your lodge and then set out on the drive to Uganda’s most popular National Park – Queen Elizabeth which was named after the Queen of England – Queen Elizabeth II. this beautiful park has a diversity of habitats that include wetlands, savanna grasslands, forests and small lakes that serve as home to a diversity of animals including some of the big five animals, and birds.

The Queen Elizabeth National Park is also known for its tree climbing lion population that lives within the Ishasha area. On arrival, check-in at your accommodation, have lunch and later on go for an evening game drive to see some of the animals living here.

Day 4 (20th July): Queen Elizabeth National Park – Game drive and Boat cruise.

After breakfast you will drive along the kasenyi trucks for a game viewing experience during which you will see various animals such as the Uganda kobs, lions, spotted hyena, Buffaloes, waterbucks, elephants, warthogs and many others. After lunch transfer for a 2 hours launch cruise on the kazinga channel a natural waterway that connects lakes George and Edward doing what you will see several animals like hippos, crocodiles and water birds.

Transfer to Entebbe airport for your evening flight.
